I'M BACK!

Sorry its been soooo long since my last post, but I've had a sick kitty and lots of family stuff to do.  I FINALLY got the chance to scrap a card for my future sister in laws birthday card. Aint it cute? I used my new Mini Monsters cartridge that Jbaby gave me for xmas! Hope she likes it. I promise to blog more again, even though nobody reads this thing.

Wedding Congrats Card

Ok, so two friends got hitched this weekend and I made them this card.  I traced the pattern on the paper with a glue pen, and glittered the hell out of it!  Also used my new corner punch, and pale lovey dovey ribbon.  And once again used my scallop circle punch and gold gel pen.  There are certain items that every scrapper much have!

Go Baby Gamecocks!

He's an angry Gamecock chick!!!!!
A girl at work is having a baby, so the office is throwing her a shower.  I volunteered to make the invites, and the gal in charge inspired me to make it gamecock themed.  You know, to include the dad's tastes too!  Well, this is what I came up with.

I love my cricut.  I used my perma-tac gun, pop-up dots on the shell, old fashioned elmors glue, and FINALLY used one of my new cartridges!  The lettering and 'baby' phrase came from the 'All Mixed Up' font cartridge.  The little chick and egg came from the 'Create a Critter' shape cartridge.  Used garnet red to bring out the USC colors, with a baby blue background-since duh!  It's a boy!  Thankfully, nobody noticed the missing ' !

Love this chair J-baby brought home!  Perfect to dry cards on!!!
UPDATE!!!  Today, the chicka that is having the baby told me the sweetest thing!  She took her invite home and has it on her fridge!  COOL!!!!!

DragonCon2011 Sun. Day 3

First off, let me whine about how weird it is to blog via J-baby's laptop.  My desktop is all the way on the other side of the house, and I'm so comfy on the sofa, watching a classic movie on Netflix.  Anyway, here are the sunday pictures.  J-baby and I dressed up Steampunk, so the first pic is of my cutey!

He's so cute!!!
One of the speakers of the Steampunk panel
A very awesome prop
So many lovely outfits
I want her corset!!
Another speaker
A back injury inspired her outfit!  Cool!
The panel was interesting- and a few of the things they mentioned to do, we had already done with our costumes!  Unfortunately, it was so hot and humid, we could only stay in our outfits for about an hour, before we crawled back to the Sheraton and changed!

Sunday was definitely Steampunk day, wasn't it?  More later!

A really sweet woman at work broke her arm so I wanted to make her a 'Get Well' card.  Finally got to use that awesome floral chipboard I got ages ago!  Pretty!

DragonCon 2011 Day2 cont.

Ok, if I blog just one thing tonight, it has to be this pic.  As a surprise for J-baby, I payed for a Froggy Photo with Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day!  The moment really passed to quickly, and I am totally kicking myself now for not actually "speaking" with them.  In fact, our little one-on-one random encounter with Garrett Wang that same day totally topped this, but still, I will always have this picture!  And maybe the next time we do this, I will grow a pair and say "Hi!"
