Ok, you know how everyone has some natural talent, which they just need to find it? Well, I think my sister's boyfriend just found his! This is Danny's first attempt at carving anything with a chainsaw-and I just HAD TO post it. He wants to do more, and even sell it online. So I'll be posting his info soon, and via pininterest too. I'm already contemplating what to order!

Thanksgiving 2012!!!
Nope, I haven't finished my Thanksgiving 2012 mini yet. I'm just posting my table decor and the sign I made for the family photo. :)
Thanksgiving 2011 Kit Layout (part 2 of 2)
Hello, my non-existent readers! Please bare with me as I try to post part 2 of the Thanksgiving kit. It's making me choke on my mash potatoes! Which are a little cold, so I'm going to shoot a glare at my hubby.
Anyways, let try this again!
Sorry for the upside down pictures. :(

Thanksgiving 2011 Kit Layout (part 1 of 2)
Hello, my invisible companians! I recently got together at my friend Sharon's place to make a two page layout with a mini album attached-using Close to My Heart products. It got me inspired to use my Thanksgiving 2011 pictures. EEEIIIII! Sharon was selling the layout on her site - Florentine Fall Mini and Layout. Here is what I've done. I can't wait to show it to my family at this years' Thanksgiving.
Ok, this will be a two part post, since I'm having my usual pc issues. Forgive me, non-existant readers.
First Page with Mini Attached. Just missing my plate name tags. |
Second page with a lovely group shot and surviving napkin. |

Fall Festival @ work
Last year was Attack of the Killer Zombie Turkeys. This year I went with something more traditional. The admin ladies loved it, and I added a little of my own style by adding googly eyes. I used the Create a Critter cricut cartridge for the turkeys & I will find out what cartridge I used for the grass and leaves. The backdrop was a white foam board from Michaels and covered with brown paper. I painted the tree trunks with black crackle paint from (you guessed it!) Tim Holtz! At first, the backdrop looked very sinister. Thankfully, adding the colorful leaves made the scene more festive. :)

Dad's bday card & dumb excuses
Hello non-existing readers! I'M BAAAACK. Again. I don't want to know how long I've been absent...I just want to blog & scrap!
To restart: here is a birthday card I put together for my dad's 55th. The totally awesome rays in the background was created by using one of Tim Holtz embossing folders and Fired Brick Distress Ink. I recently got these amazing stamps from Close to My Heart. LOVE EM! I was so excited when I found out my gal pal Sharon was selling Close to My Heart stuff! EIIIII! Click her name and you'll go to her blog, which makes me drool over the scrapiness! I wanted to make the card look like a comic book panel, and I'm pretty happy with the results. The distress ink helped me shadow the layered cityscape. I also used black StazOn Ink! Can't forget that! Must use these stamps again! :)
