Every year I make a flan for my coworkers Christmas celebration. I can handle the recipe on my own, but I asked my grandmother for help anyway. Bonding experience. Shyeah right! Not 15minutes in, and I'm kicked out of my own kitchen! WTF?!

Dumbstruck @ the talent!
Ok, you know how everyone has some natural talent, which they just need to find it? Well, I think my sister's boyfriend just found his! This is Danny's first attempt at carving anything with a chainsaw-and I just HAD TO post it. He wants to do more, and even sell it online. So I'll be posting his info soon, and via pininterest too. I'm already contemplating what to order!

Fall Festival @ work
Last year was Attack of the Killer Zombie Turkeys. This year I went with something more traditional. The admin ladies loved it, and I added a little of my own style by adding googly eyes. I used the Create a Critter cricut cartridge for the turkeys & I will find out what cartridge I used for the grass and leaves. The backdrop was a white foam board from Michaels and covered with brown paper. I painted the tree trunks with black crackle paint from (you guessed it!) Tim Holtz! At first, the backdrop looked very sinister. Thankfully, adding the colorful leaves made the scene more festive. :)

Dad's bday card & dumb excuses
To restart: here is a birthday card I put together for my dad's 55th. The totally awesome rays in the background was created by using one of Tim Holtz embossing folders and Fired Brick Distress Ink. I recently got these amazing stamps from Close to My Heart. LOVE EM! I was so excited when I found out my gal pal Sharon was selling Close to My Heart stuff! EIIIII! Click her name and you'll go to her blog, which makes me drool over the scrapiness! I wanted to make the card look like a comic book panel, and I'm pretty happy with the results. The distress ink helped me shadow the layered cityscape. I also used black StazOn Ink! Can't forget that! Must use these stamps again! :)

Thank You Card
Here I used tim holtz paper rosette die, peeled paint distress ink, and a large cling background stamp with a little glitter. Love the quickie glue pens & they added a little shine to this card. I used a wood mounted thank you stamp, but sorry, no idea the maker! Then cut out the design and glued it on the rosette. Sweet! My fav thing about this card is the ribbon- forgot I had purchased a xyron sticker maker at a scrapbook yard sale. I recently saw one being used on youtube, remembered I have one, dug it out, bought the sticker stuff, and now it sits on my desk READY FOR ACTION!

I used walnut stain distress stain, Hawaiian blue chalk ink, glimmer mist, gold acrylic paint from ranger, pearl dust embossing on the little embellishments, a clockpiece from tim holtz, and i dont know what else! I love it & more so because my hubby likes it too! Cant wait to show it off!

Say I Do page
Anyways, i used a ton of Tim Holtz products here. Love that guy! The background page was from one of his paper packs. I used his grungeboard with Dusty Concard Distress Ink & Pashmina glitter spray by Tattered Angels. Is that company still around? I can't recall if I've seen them at the conventions recently. The journaling tag is just black cardstock edged with a rugged looking scalloped scissors. The fabric flowers were misted with the same pashmina color-and they were actually decorations at my wedding. I saved a balloon from the reception too.
Well, more in a few days!

Pocari Sweat
Pocari Sweat is a gross drink J-baby heard of from a friend & we had to try it. It's a popular sports drink which i found to be so sickingly sweet and yet convienent to find....
For the page I used my gypsy to make the words & thought a collage of my hubby drinking the nasty stuff was perfect. :)
I'm making a comeback!
To start us off, here is a picture of a "flag" I made for my departments olympic games. I love that i could use my scrappy tools to help the team! I used my create a critter cartridge for the flame and some glitter & sequence foil! Wooo! The light is coming from a miniature light set my best gal pal got me for ANOTHER project. Can you tell my husband is frazzeled with all my hobbies?! LOL

Pillow Project!
A friend at work asked if I could make some pillow cases for her & she gave me this pretty fabric. Pillow #2 coming up!
Pillow Project Continued!
I love how easy a project this was! She will add some cord or fringe along the edges and they will be perfect!
My Sister turns 28! (I mean 27...)
My little sister's bday came up and my cricut was on strike! But I was still able to make her a lovely little card with my Big Kick sizzex machine and plenty of pretty paper! Glad she liked it!
